Dose the Tivo Upgrade Void My 90 Day Warranty With Phillips?
Yes, We do however offer a (6) month warranty on the upgrade and have our own service center. If your Tivo fails regardless of fault we can repair and replace the main components including Main board, Power supply,  IR Controller Card , and Drive Systems. 

How Long Dose It Take To Do The Upgrade?
We Guarantee 1Day Service, If we don't perform the upgrade within 24 hours then the upgrade is Free!.

Does the Upgrade Affect the way the Tivo Operates?
No, the only difference is you will have up to 134 hours of recording capacity.

How Do We Order The Upgrade?
We Sell New Tivo's already upgraded or you can ship us your 14 or 30 hour Tivo keeping all cables remotes and accessories. Please call Toll Free or order On Line.

What Brand Of Drives Do You Use?
We use only Quantum or Maxtor Drives.

Will the new 2.0 Upgrade Affect My Tivo?
The New upgrade from Tivo is packed full of features and will not affect you upgrade. 

Can I Do The Upgrade Myself?
YES, We also can send you a drive Kit for you to do the upgrade. This is not advised by us and can be dangerous and you may ruin your Tivo.

What if Tivo Changes The Service and My Upgrade Isn't Recognized?
We keep the backup of the original operating system. If we need to restore your Tivo we will at no extra cost . 

Cordless Phone FAQ   

How can a phone have such a long communication range?
These phones make use of different technology than conventional cordless telephones. The frequencies, on which they operate, combined with the wattage, communication standards, and external base station antennas allow for extremely long-range communication.

Why haven’t I heard of these phones before?
Long-range phones have been around for decades. They are not sold in US stores primarily because most are not FCC certified. We have been selling these products since 1995, with great success.

How difficult are these phones to set up?
Our entry-level models simply plug into your normal A/C outlet and standard RJ-11 telephone jack. You simply unpack the phone, plug it in, and charge the battery. Our higher-end models come with an external mount antenna. This antenna is mounted on a roof or other high altitude, and plugs into the phone’s base station using coaxial cable (similar to TV cable). All mounting hardware, cable, and detailed instructions are included. Antenna installation time is estimated between .5 - 1.5 hours.

Why can't some of these phones be used in the USA?
Sales to US customers (other than military, government, or law enforcement) are for EXPORT ONLY. The main reason that these phones are not FCC certified is that they exceed the maximum power requirements mandated by the FCC and/or make use of frequencies commonly used by non-telephone equipment.

How good is the sound quality?
When within adequate range of the base station, sound quality is exceptional. You will not notice a difference in sound quality between our phone and any other high quality cordless phone. Some of our phones are digital, providing voice quality similar to a corded office phone. When approaching fringe areas, you may experience static as with any cordless phone.

Can someone eavesdrop on my conversation with a scanner?
Many of our phones include a commercial grade scrambler. If a scrambler is not already integrated with the system, you may add one as an option (in most cases). Some systems, such as the EnGenius, are digital. Digital transmission is inherently safe against eavesdropping. Of call security is a concern, please consult us so we may recommend an appropriate system.

What if I don't have AC power at my remote location?
If A/C power is not available, we can set the remote unit to run from solar, wind, hydroelectric, gas, battery and more.

You list a maximum range. What range will I get in my application?
Range can vary greatly from one application to another. A phone designed for a range of up to 50km in open space may deliver only 10km in a mountainous environment. It is important to let us know the environment where your system will be used so we may select an appropriate frequency/power output/antenna combination. If you have line of sight conditions and your antenna is set up properly, you can expect close to the maximum range. If there are obstructions such as buildings and thick foliage, the range will be reduced. There is no "minimum" range. 

Will these phones cause interference with other cordless phones?
Our phones are specifically designed not to interfere with one another. However, our phones may cause interference with inexpensive cordless phones currently in use at the base station location (where the telephone line is). If this is an important issue, speak with our technicians to determine how this type of interference can be prevented. Additionally our phones may potentially interfere with other electronic devices, such as computer monitors, and the older style UHF televisions. Our phones will not interfere with satellite dishes or cable.

Can I attach your phones to my existing business telephone system (PBX)?
In many cases - yes. If you can plug an "off the shelf" analog phone (like you would buy at an office supply store) into your PBX, our phones will be compatible. You can assign our phone an extension, and most features of your PBX will be available on our phone. If you can not plug an analog phone into your PBX you may be able to obtain an analog card from your PBX manufacturer. The analog card would enable you to use our phones on your system. If you are unsure, ask us.

Can I mount the external antenna inside my building, or on the ground?
All of our antennas are designed to be mounted at an elevation of at least 5 meters above ground level. There should not be any obstructions for at least 4 meters on all sides of the antenna. The antenna needs to be properly mounted for optimum performance. If the mounting instructions are not followed the range will be reduced. Some of our phones may be used without an external antenna, or with a window antenna, but the maximum range will be greatly reduced.

What type of warranty do these phones come with?
All phones come with a full 1 year parts and labor warranty. After the warranty period has expired, phones are adjusted and/or repaired for a nominal charge. All warranty work is handled through our USA facility.
