Jesus f*cking Christ …
A brand new trailer for Killzone 3 has arrived, and while it’s pretty short, it does the trick. Not that I needed much more hyping.
This new trailer shows off at least one potential new location, with freaky foliage that hints at a possible Helghan jungle. Add that to the new snow levels and it seems we’ll have something a little more colorful than Killzone 2.
Killzone is to me what Halo is to pink-shirted date rapists. I can’t wait for February!
It was Jon Carnage who first introduced me to the the genius of Everything is Terrible. “No hamburgers, no pizza, no movies, no television” is uttered by someone here at Dtoid HQ at least once a day. That’s just one example of how their brand of tribute/mockery can get under your skin.
I wonder if anything from this video will also become a household catch phrase? There is a lot here to choose from. Personally, I can’t pick just one line to pick up and run with.
I am a little disappointed though to see no reference to that classic Turbographx-16 promo video. That was my personal favorite growing up. It also would have been awesome if something from the Destructoid Show popped up in there. I’m just as goony as these guys (if not more so) don’t you think?
Maybe someday…

PSAs are tons of fun. Not only do they educate, but they also spread useful information to the masses. For instance, if you’re going out to get a condom make sure you don’t climb into a giant bottle of booze because then your condom will fall in a pit and your lady friend won’t want to have sex.
I think that’s the message behind this safe sex PSA from The Leicestershire Teenage Pregnancy Partnership. It clearly takes its inspiration from a strange mix of Mega Man and Mario and does it pretty well.
Despite my earlier mock confusion I think its message is plenty clear: USE A CONDOM OR YOUR PENIS WILL FALL OFF!

You may not remember your name, or where you’re from, or why you’re fighting to save the world, but you must remember to buy Amnesia: The Dark Descent on Steam before Monday, because it’s on sale at half-price, pegging it at an incredibly appealing price of $9.99.
For less than ten bucks you’re getting one of the scariest horror games in years, an indie title that outdoes titles that cost six times that much. So go, get it.
PC gamers, the world is not always your friend. Actually, the world in general probably doesn’t care all too much, but EA isn’t being your friend. The incredibly awesome Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is getting plenty of DLC in the future, but you won’t be receiving any of it.
A member of the development team posted that none of the DLC coming out for the console versions of the game will be landing on the PC. This, the developer explains, is because they have a limited budget and not enough resources to produce DLC for every platform. However, he does add that “ … we do have more updates and content on the way for PC players.”
Not sure what that means since one would assume that more content would have to be downloaded and that’s just a reverse way of saying downloadable content, which in turn is simply writing out DLC. Whatever, he’s saying it doesn’t look like the PC version of the game will be seeing much love from here on out.
Confirmed: No future DLC support for Need For Speed Hot Pursuit for PC [Big Download]

Minecraft might be one of the most popular things on the web right now as far as gaming goes so it’s easy to forget that the game is still in alpha. Not for much longer, however! As it states over at The Word of Notch the Minecraft beta will begin on December 20. The dark days of alpha are over.
What does this mean exactly? The launch of beta will mean a larger focus on polish and content. Modders will get a bit more love as well as there will be “proper modding support with a stable API.” A bit more interesting is the mention of a non-intrusive narrative for the game that will keep people moving forward when first starting and have a late game goal.
Now for the less exciting part. When the game enters beta the price of it will double to 14.95 Euro. The developers will also be removing the promise that all futures updates of the game will be free. However, this reneging of the free update promise will only affect those who purchase the game after December 20. All those in the alpha will still receive all future updates for free.
Now is the time to get into the game if you ever planned to do it.

Forza Motorsport 4 is in the works, and it’s hitting Xbox 360 in the fall of 2011.
Turn 10’s racer was confirmed at the Spike Video Game awards tonight, and like with most of the reveals, we don’t know much about the game. There will be plenty of fast and shiny cars, that’s for certain.
There are also elements of the trailer — mainly the parts towards which show what appears to be a car showcase mode — that hint at some kind of Kinect functionality. Turn 10 showed off a very similar Kinect-enabled feature (which featured showed very similar HUD elemants to what’s seen here) in a demo at E3 earlier this year.
Valve brought a new trailer for Portal 2 to the Spike Video Game Awards tonight, and in the process confirmed that they make awesome trailers.
Really, that’s about it. No new game information here, unless you can spot a Half Life 2: Episode 3 teaser in there somewhere. (Hint: You won’t be able to.) In any case, watching it will be a test: if you don’t enjoy it, you’re broken inside. Go on — find out.
